Welcome
The fact that you are here means you have something in you hoping for change. Perhaps your healthcare provider has suggested losing weight, or you're looking to feel stronger and have more energy in your daily life. The reality is that there is no magic pill, and no one else can achieve the results you seek on your behalf. The change you desire comes from within, and success is ultimately up to you. The good news is that you don't have to embark on this journey alone; I am here to serve as a resource to help you navigate the difficult and overwhelming world of health, wellness, and nutrition. We are all capable of overcoming challenges, and coaching can be a great way to start making sustainable and buildable lifestyle changes to move you closer to whatever your goal may be.
My Story
I had an active and athletic childhood, but my lifestyle habits changed when I went off to college. At the time, I didn't fully realize the negative impacts these changes would have on my overall health. After obtaining my Bachelor of Science in Nursing, I moved away from home to begin my career as a Registered Nurse. I worked in various settings, most of which entailed a significant physical, mental, and emotional burden. I continued putting my health on the backburner, and I didn't build the resilience needed to manage the constant stress in a healthy way. It was easy to overlook just how out of shape I really was. However, after my second pregnancy, I grew tired of feeling uncomfortable with no energy, so I committed to a fitness program at a local gym. I connected with the style of exercise and felt, for the first time, that I had found an activity that worked for me that I could maintain. About four months later, I signed up for my own personal experience with nutrition coaching, and that's where my journey really kicked off. I relearned how to eat in a way that fueled my body without having to say goodbye to the things I love. For me, finding that balance was key. I knew if I attempted restricting my diet to a point where I didn't allow myself certain foods, it wouldn't last. I continued to use what I had learned, and remained interested in making nutrition a focus, which has ultimately led me here. This journey will remain continuous, and now I look forward to walking alongside my clients. Whatever your goals may be, and whatever your reasons are for change, your happiness is always worth the effort needed to make it happen.
